David j Taylor is a multiple award winning multidisciplinary artist who owns and operates Sechelt British Columbia's The Purple Studio. David j is a record producer/engineer/mixer, mastering tech, audio post pro, educator, songwriter and abstract painter. He is the 2007 Western Canadian Music Awards "Producer Of The Year" award winner and multiple WCMA nominee with over 120 album credits to his name (Joel Fafard, Geoff Berner, Megan Nash, Despistado). In audio post for film and television David was the foley recordist/artist for all 106 episodes of the hit comedy Corner Gas, worked as foley recordist for the 2012 Academy Award "Best Animated Short Film" nominee Wild life (NFB) and is a 6 time Gemini Award "Best Overall Sound" nominated Music Supervisor, Re-Recording Mixer and Foley Recordist-Artist-Editor with numerous television series and theatrical-documentary film credits to his name (The Nature of Things with David Suzuki, Landscape as Muse, renegadepress.com, Surveillance).
